Ceramic Fiber Paper

What is ceramic fiber paper?

Ceramic fiber paper consists primarily of high-purity aluminosilicate fibers, manufactured through a fiber-washing process. This process produces a blend of fibers, binders and additives in a non-woven matrix, forming randomly oriented fibers that are soft, uniform and lightweight. This process keeps the content of non-fibrillated lenses to a minimum level within the paper. Available in 3 grades with various sizes and temperature grades.

In addition, our binder-free paper offers a smoke-free option, with no organic binder systems in the production process. This paper is organic-free and is used when higher burn strength is required or in applications where even small amounts of organic burn-off are unacceptable.

Operating at higher temperatures?

Ceramic fiber paper made from polycrystalline fiber (PCW) is rated at 3000°F (1649°C) and is now in stock. This grade of ceramic fiber paper is virtually bullet free and has a smooth outer surface on both sides. Characteristics include low thermal conductivity, flexibility and good handling strength. This material is highly specialized to meet the most demanding and extreme temperature requirements.
